About Gill:
For the first 15 years of my working career I was a professional chef and studied food & nutrition, working in hospitals and health care establishments. In this work I would talk to patients about diet, and work closely with other health care professionals & therapists who seemed to make a physical difference, and also Reiki healers who improved the emotional well being of patients. I saw that combined with a good nutritionally balanced diet, health would improve.
I wanted to make more of a difference to people’s well-being, so I retrained for a new career, starting with Massage Therapy.
My learning journey has continued as I have added new skills and techniques, as the human body seems to be a never-ending discovery of physical, emotional and spiritual possibilities. Simple things such as a positive thought process combined with physical therapy can release a lot of held-in tension, and that’s what I promote in my practice today, the power of the mind to heal the body.
I have been a therapist for over twenty years now, and I am as enthusiastic today as when I started, as I genuinely enjoy making a difference to people’s health and learning new ways of healing with revolutionary Emmett Muscle Release Therapy!
